Vancouver is an outdoorsy city ranking among the world’s most livable, sheltered by Vancouver Island and the Pacific Range mountains. The most famous peak, Grouse Mountain, is a favorite spot for hiking and skiing. Take the cable car up for magnificent views of the city's skyscrapers and huge Stanley Park.
Skirting this park is the Seawall, a popular biking trail with paths passing the Vancouver Aquarium, picnic spots and a pitch and putt course. There are also a couple of beaches, but the best ones are along English Bay in Kitsilano.
Granville Island is just across False Creek from Yaletown and houses some quirky shops and markets. Ferries depart from here to near BC Place Stadium and home field of the city’s football and soccer teams. The legendary Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team play next door at Rogers Arena.
With the largest Chinatown in North America, Gastown is the oldest part of Vancouver and is near the Canada Place cruise ship terminal.
We could go on and on about British Columbia's biggest city, but we could never do it justice, so why not try it for yourself? Booking.com has a fabulous range of accommodations, from hotels near Vancouver Airport in Richmond to downtown B&Bs and motels near all of its ferry ports.
Vancouver is a city of contrast. On one side it's a loud, dirty city, with a sad picture of countless totally stoned homeless people gathering around the footpath and parks. On the other side, it has the most beautiful parks and gardens accessible to everyone for free.

Found Vancouver to be a beautiful city.
Found Vancouver to be a beautiful city. East to get around and we felt safe. However, we didn’t get to see enough of it in our time there. Stanley Park is stunning - The bike trails and pedestrians walkways are well catered for.
We visited Maxine’s for breakfast, Joey Burrard, gluten free epicurean and DeDutch.
No faults here.

I had a great weekend in Vancouver.
I had a great weekend in Vancouver. I came down to do the Sun Run which I've done many times previously. Always a great event.
While in the city, I enjoyed visiting Stanley Park (including the sea wall), the Coal Harbour sea wall and Convention Centre. Shopped on Robson Street, went to Granville Island and took the Aquabus back. Saw a movie at VIFF.
All in all, I had a fun trip. The weather was good and getting around Vancouver is easy --- I took the Skytrain, the city bus, the Aquabus and walked around too.

Vancouver is a magnificent modern city!
Vancouver is a magnificent modern city! I chose to get around by walking and I recommend that way of seeing everything and finding interesting places. It is beautiful in Spring with flowers everywhere! Canadians are friendly people; two times they asked me if they could help when I was reading my map. I felt safe everywhere I went on foot. I feel that I saw nearly every neighborhood in my twenty days there. Stanley Park is a treasure of views and people watching. Vancouver is a bargain, and in addition, I lost weight in spite of eating at fantastic restaurants!

It's a fun city, it can be hard to navigate and hard to get around in. Ubers seem to be the easiest wat to get around. So you are going to spend a bit on Ubers so prepare for that. Transit is good but it's very different than other cities. Traffic congestion can make travel time vary and you should add 20 minutes extra time to any destination you plan on getting to. The streets are set up a little strange so it takes a while to figure them out compared to other Canadian cities. Train is good for cutting down on time and expenses. Takes you to the airport and the buses for ferries.

It's a phenomenal city and each time I see it, I am blown away by how beautiful it is! Not a lot of places have that unique combination of mountains and the sea all within a short drive from most of the city. You can never really be mad in Vancouver because you look up and you're struck by how much beauty surrounds you!

Central location in a clean part of downtown Vancouver, and very close to Canada Place. It is surrounded by an array of eateries and coffee shops. Major tourist attractions are within easy walking distance. The concierge Randy and the early morning concierge deserve to be acknowledged for their friendliness and helpfulness. This hotel is lucky to have these concierges as they give a great first impression to travelers of the hotel and what to expect
The property is located in the center of Vancouver, walking distance from restaurants and the waterfront. The room was very comfortable and had a great bathroom and shower. The staff was super nice and available to suggest restaurants and activities. The parking is right inside the building and we were also allowed to keep the car inside past checkout time. The hotel is located in a historic building and a stop for tours!
This was an amazing hotel. The staff and service went above and beyond. The location is incredibly central to everything you'd want to do in downtown Vancouver, and very walkable. The room was very spacious, the king bed was incredibly comfy, and the heated floors in the bathroom were the icing on top.
