EVERYTHING! This property is beautiful. Still too cool to use the pool which I would’ve enjoyed. The bus stop is 100 meters from the hotel which made getting to Old Town very convenient. The views from my room and the hotel itself were amazing!

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Dubrovnik! The room was lovely, well-maintained, and equipped with everything I could need for a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable, making it easy to recharge after days filled with sightseeing. One of the standout features was the spacious parking spot—very convenient for travelers with a car, as parking can be challenging in Dubrovnik. The breakfast each morning was a treat, with a delicious variety of options that catered to different tastes. The location was ideal: set in a peaceful area, yet only a quick, easy bus ride to the bustling Old City. This place is perfect for anyone looking to enjoy Dubrovnik’s beauty in comfort and tranquility. Highly recommended!"

Located amid green pines and olive trees, Valamar Tirena Hotel is located near the old town of Dubrovnik on the coast of the Babin Kuk peninsula, only a short walk away from the beach.

They gave us rooms together and let us check in a few hours early. Some of the staff exceptionally nice, others appeared disinterested. The renovated parts of the hotel were nice, in other parts it looked a bit abandoned. It was quiet and peaceful in Spring.

FAQs about hotels in Dubrovnik

The Pearl of the Adriatic

A medieval beauty full of magnificence and glory, Dubrovnik is surrounded by white stone walls. Located on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, this masterpiece is one of the most promising tourist destinations.

Passing through the imposing stone gate of Pile Gate, you will find yourself immersed in history. Take a walk in the narrow streets of this charming city, enjoy a cup of coffee in one of the colorful cafés, or order fresh fish in one of the outdoor restaurants.

Surrounded by turquoise waters, Dubrovnik Old Town sights include the picturesque Stradun, Onofrio fountain and the Franciscan monastery.

The city’s cable car will take you up to Mount Srd from where you can savor panoramic views over the treasures of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Buses connect Dubrovnik Airport with the city center, and Booking.com has a variety of hotels, apartments, and guesthouses throughout.

Dubrovnik is a wonderful old city, so well-known from many films and series. Beautifully renovated old town. The city is situated on the rocky shores of the Adriatic Sea. Great local cuisine and wonderful landscapes. In summer, it is also a paradise for lovers of swimming in the sea.

The walk along the Old City wall is a must. Tickets are only available for purchase online and last for 24 hrs from the time you first use a ticket for entrance to the wall or other museums. We used it first as 4:00pm and it went through to 4:00 pm the next day - a great way to get value for the 40 Euro 1 day fee.

It’s a historic city with beautiful architecture and great beaches! But everything depends on the weather, as many attractions stop operating when it’s too windy (like the cable car or boat tours). Public transportation is good. I would only go back if I were sure the weather would be nice — rain and wind definitely get in the way.

The city is beautiful and full of history. I was disappointed that the boats to cross over Lokrum island were not running for the last three days because of the wind. It didn’t feel that windy but of course, they need to guarantee visitors’ safety. Maybe boats should be larger to be able to cope with such a short distance (10 mins) to cross over on a windy day. Also, no many vegetarian options apart from pizza and pasta 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's a beautiful place with a specific atmosphere. Walking up and down the narrow streets and city walls, observing the red roofs makes you feel as if you travelled back in time. Definitely a place worth visiting, especially in spring when it's not as crowded as in the high season.

The historic Old Town was lovely, completely pedestrianised (apart from the occasional delivery vans and refuse vehicles). Great alleyways and nooks, plus the fort of St Lawrence and the walkable city walls, made it a fascinating and different 'city-break'. Unfortunately relatively bad weather meant the cable car was not an option for us this time, and the ferries were cancelled on the day we wanted to go to the island of Lokrum alas! So we did not get to see 'ancient Qarth' this time. Must-visit location for hardcore GoT fans. Just don't try to do the 'Walk of Shame' in the nude...

The hotel and room were clean and beautiful, making them perfect for our one-night stay in Dubrovnik. The bed was REALLY comfortable! It was also nice to go for a quick refreshing swim in the hotel pool. Our hostess/the hotel owner was lovely. :) Getting to the Old Town was easy, and if you’re too tired to walk, there are several bus routes nearby that go there. The hotel is also very close to the main bus station and harbor.

Solid 5 star (-ish) hotel in Dubrovnik. Excellent position, spotless rooms, very kind staff (very refreshing considering that generally in Croatia service are quite grumpy), nice wellness area (although at some time of the day the pool area needs more supervision and tidying up), nice breakfast. Definitely one of the best options to stay in Dubrovnik.

The apartment is in the old town of Dubrovnik; you could walk to most of the tourist spots. The hotel is pretty comfortable to stay in. At night, it is very quiet. In the morning, however, when the baggage needs to be stored, you hear footsteps and some noises.
