Overlooking the tranquil waters of Lough Leane, colourful Killarney is a top Irish tourist destination. The UNESCO-listed Killarney National Park surrounds Muckross House, a stately home sitting in large grounds with a traditional farm.
A tree-lined lane leads to Muckross Abbey, a former Franciscan monastery whose cloisters enclose a tall yew tree. Celtic crosses line the cemetery and beyond is the lake, at the centre of which is a tree-lined outcrop, home of the historic Ross Castle. This 15th-century stone fortress once housed the O’Donoghue clan, one of whom reportedly lives at the bottom of the lough.

We were only down for a concert across the town which we thoroughly enjoyed. We were in Scott's earlier to watch our county Limerick in a hurling match which was a very nice venue also with a big screen. We had dinner, which was very tasty also, in our hotel ie The Killarney Court, prior to going to the concert. Overall, a very enjoyable day and night. 💙🩷

Obviously, everybody is different and comes to a city with different ideas of what they want to do. The Muckross House was well worth the self-guided tour and the grounds around the house are beautiful. The hike around the smaller lake was just beautiful, with stunning views and great topography. The Torc falls were gorgeous.

If you’d like to travel around, it’s not far from other beautiful places like Kenmare, Tralee, and more. There’s so much to do, especially if you’re an adventurous person like me!
It’s definitely one of the best places in Ireland to visit during the summer, perfect for exploring nature and breathtaking landscapes.
I highly recommend visiting Killarney.

We were not able to spend much time in Killarney but enjoyed the time we were there. We walked the cute downtown area and also went for a great hike in the woods out by the nearby waterfall since it was a beautiful day.

Killarney is the most wonderful place.
Killarney is the most wonderful place. The scenery is spectacular and breathtaking. Definitely need a car for the best experience. Killarney town is a tourism town and they know how to do that very well. Traffic and congestion is a bit of an issue but that is because of its popularity. Recommend the Gap of Dunloe drive, Muckross house and national park, Ross castle, and to drive the ring of Kerry. Portmagee,Valentia Island, Dingle a must.

The owners and the staff made our stay absolutely amazing. The warmest welcome, help with our sick child, kindness and immediate support in all the matters - it feels like you're welcomed by friends who do truly care about you. And all that in addition to absolutely delicious breakfast, very comfortable and stylish rooms, and the location in a short walking distance to the town centre. It was our best stay in Ireland during our vacation! Thank you, will definitely be back ❤️
Lovely Bedroom, very clean. The Bed was very comfortable. The fan was really appreciated as it was very warm during our stay. The hotel is only a 10 min walk to the town centre which is very convenient. The Beer garden at the Hotels bar (Kaynes) is very nice.
The hotel was very clean, breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The map and restaurant tips Emir gave us on arrival were really useful. The hotel was a 20 min walk from the town centre which was fine for us.
Location is perfect.in the town centre. Mary at the front desk was so lovely and helpful when we were checking in. They had a car park behind the hotel, which was perfect . The bed was very comfortable.
