We were very anxious about traveling to Paris and speaking very little French. Everyone was very patient and kind. We ran into a couple of problems on the metro and the Parisians were very helpful to us. The metro was very easy to use and we loved the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame and Montmartre. We loved the hot chocolate at Angelina.

It's incredible how walkable Paris is!
It's incredible how walkable Paris is! You can go from Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame and then continue to Montmartre. Granted, it's quite a walk but manageable and with an incredible surroundings the whole time.
Great food & wine everywhere! No regrets in randomly chosen spots during those long walks. Must try fish and desserts.
Incredibly tourists friendly city! Good for traveling beginners but offering so much of cuisine, history and views to even the most experienced travelers.

Being near a train station is convenient, but also tends to be very busy and loud. There are a ton of smokers everywhere and service at restaurants is typically very slow. I recommend just grabbing small bites to go if you're pressed for time. Meals at sit-downs could easily be 2 hours.
Most bakeries are good, so you don't need to think too hard about where to go. Pricing varies, but if you're trying to save money, I wouldn't recommend restaurants.
Public transport is a bit confusing at first, but they have an extremely wide network that can get you pretty much anywhere you want. They have 2 different rail networks that work pretty much as one. Separate tickets are needed for using the bus or going to/from the airport.
All the basic views like Eifel tower, Versailles, and Louvre are extremely busy, so plan accordingly. It's always busy on public transport and there's traffic + construction everywhere.
Overall, it's a nice place ruined by too many people.

Paris is always full of tourists who want to pack everything in. So expect queues and short tempers. The Parisians are used to it and are for the most part friendly and helpful. Book in advance and plan your visits, because standing and waiting for hours to enter a sight or a museum are not worth wasting precious holiday time on. Watch out for taxi touts and pirate taxi's. As with pickpockets the touts are out to scam and rob you. Public transport in Paris is still the best.

Fantastic city for exploring on foot.
Fantastic city for exploring on foot. The architecture and ambience are very special. The Luxembourg gardens and a visit to Sainte Chapelle were a highlight. Amazing choice of restaurants & not too expensive. On the other hand - hotels are very expensive !

Paris is a beautiful city to visit and the metro and RER trains make it easy to get around and also visit locations outside of Paris. Find out about using the metro and train system before you go. Check out the Bonjour app for details.
Be prepared for queues at Notre Dame and museums/ galleries. Queue for Notre Dame was minimal before 10 am and after 5.30 pm

Location was great! Breakfast was delishes! Mr. Reseptionist was the best!
He was able to help me with any questions I had. He speaks English very well and that was helpful and maid my days in Paris easy going.Room was clean an quite! Walking distance from most famous attractions in Paris. Great restaurants on the same street! I was able to store my luggage after checked out time whitout extra charges! Thank you very much little hotel near Eiffel Tower! I really appreciate all you had done for me. Sinserely, Senya.
This small hotel is close to the Arc du Triomphe on a very quiet side street. The public space is beautiful with several sitting areas. Fitness center is better than most places. Lacks a restaurant except for breakfast, which is good but not great
Best aspect is the staff who are uniformly friendly, knowledgeable, ever ready to offer suggestions and complete arrangements. Notcheap, but good value in the Paris market.a
This is a very good 3 star hotel. Good bed, room not as small as in Paris usually, very nice breakfast with tomato, cucumber and other fresh things, good orange jiuice and caffe, and croissants, of course. Very nice people iin reception, speaking good English without accent what has been problem in France sometimes. Breakfast room is big but it was quite full of people. You can take tea, coffee and water all day.
The location was excellent, just where I needed to be. The staff were nice and helpful. I was on a budget and needed to book something in the area on short notice, so I was happy to be able to stay there. It is just being cheap in comparison to other hotels nearby is still expensive for what the hotel offers. You pay for the location very heavily here and not for comfort.
This is a budget hotel and therefore we expected it to feel basic. We stayed for 1 night while changing trains and just wanted somewhere cheap and central. Location is great near several metro stations. The room and shared shower was clean, the mattress was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. For the price we paid in Paris it was a decent deal.
