The staff is too young. No concierge. Lack of knowledge or care about helping visitors to make reservations to restaurants or tour venues.
Suggest hiring mature adults that care.

Excellent, free breakfast, similar to that provided at an American hotel or motel. No sure if parking is officially free, however we were not charged. Parking lot was jammed with construction vehicles the day we arrived, but the very kind desk clerk gave up his parking space for us.

The Jubilee year means everything is buffed up.
The Jubilee year means everything is buffed up. Also, main attractions are crowded so book skip the queue services early. Essential Rome features of great food, interesting walking tours and a multitude of cultural and historical gems are unaffected by the large tourist demand. An under promoted gem - the large and exquisite private art collection at Galleria Doria Pamphilj on the Corso in a magnificent palazzo.

Rome conquered me, very beautiful city, I will return and more than once . But I was disappointed by the people - almost everyone wants to get more money out of the tourist, there is no basic service, supermarkets with a limited selection of products.

Highly recommend if you like cities, art, history, shopping and church! Be prepared to walk or get taxis. We spent the most on transportation, not food, etc! Food was EXCELLENT! Ask locals for suggestions.

Rome is amazing in spring!
Rome is amazing in spring! The temperature is just right to walk miles comfortably.
Its a city and incredibly busy, with amazing architecture all around.
Go to see the sistine chapel, but visit other churches too.
We took a coach tour to Sorrento and pompeii, well worth the money.

You could spend a month in Rome and not see everything it has to offer. It is a unique and magnificent city. Go everywhere you can, Trevi Fountain, The Colosseum, The Forum, The Vatican, walk the streets, walk everywhere you can. Walk the Tiber. Eat the gelato, try the Espresso, stop and eat Pinsa and Pasta.

Rome is beautiful but way too crowded with tourists and disorganization when trying to see the various historical sites. The pick pockets are a very big problem. My friend had her wallet stolen while riding the metro. The public transportation around the historical sites is atrocious. To many people squeezing on trams, buses and metro.

I spent my birthday weekend here (my first time in Italy) and everything was lovely! From the moment I arrived the nice lady at reception made sure to answer my questions, and even gave me recommendations on where to go in Rome (with a map). The suite itself was gorgeous and the location is beautiful. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and restaurants close to the hotel. I plan to visit Rome again next year and I will definitely consider booking here again. :)
Despite being located in a VERY touristy part of Rome, this hotel is a peaceful and QUIET oasis from the chaos. I was shocked at how quiet my room! WiFi is excellent. Room was spacious and well appointed. Staff is wonderful. Little extras: cookies in the room each day. Breakfast was among the best I have ever had an Italy - excellent and beautiful assortment. Great shower.
New hotel. Safe area. Comfortable bed. Efficient service. Fairly convenient location - near to the Reppublica metro station (for accessing other parts of Rome) and within walking distance to drag your luggage across the stone-paved streets from the Roma Termini train station (for accessing other parts of Italy).
Convenient location.
A rare (in Italy) small balcony (nice to have a little outdoor spot to take in a bit of fresh air) Contemporary, clean decor.
A reasonable amount of surface/storage space compared to some of the hotels we experienced in Rome
Decent value for the money at this time of the year in Rome
Hotel Maximus in Rome was one of the best hotels in Italy we stayed in.
The location was central and very clean. The breakfast was brilliant. Lots of variety. The staff could not have been more helpful and very polite. 10/10.
