WAKE & LAKE Cottage - All Season

Our home accommodates 8 guests with 2 bedrooms (2 queen, 1 full), a sleeper sofa and 2 full baths. The open floor plan and windows allow lake views from every room.

At WAKE & LAKE Cottage you are directly on Clam Lake with 100 ft of private shoreline and minutes to the crystal clear beautiful Torch Lake! Travel the entire Chain of Lakes by boat (Lake Bellaire, Grass River, Clam Lake, Torch Lake, Lake Skegemog & Elk Lake) and keep your boat right on the dock for your stay. The boat slip can easily accommodate a large boat. Slip is about 10 ft wide, can accommodate 25ft boat with water depth from knee high to 4.5 ft at end of the dock. Note that we are not in a no wake zone.

An expansive deck and permanent dock offers lots of space for sunning & lounging! Grill a lovely meal to eat overlooking the water or have a drink on the loungers! In the evenings, cook smores over a campfire and watch the beautiful sunset on the water!

Clam Lake is warm, calm and great for fishing, skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, etc. Don't have a boat? Don't worry - You can rent various water toys from many businesses on Clam Lake or surrounding area (boats, jet skis, paddleboards, kayaks, etc.)!

Various nearby boat launches are available (Butch's and Public Clam Lake launch), the nearest being 1.5 miles away. The house is also conveniently located across from Dewitt Marine where you can pull your boat up to fill up on gas and purchase any cooler needs!

Work from 'home' at our cottage surrounded by beautiful and rejuvenating views. Our new mesh Wi-fi systems provides strong signal throughout the cottage and outside on the deck.

For cold weather season, we have a newly installed heating/cooling system and a brand new high efficiency fireplace to make the cottage cozy. Fireplace is gas and fired via remote for ease of use.

We will provide linens, towels and a starter kit of paper products. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots/pans and utensils. A Traeger and gas grill are available year round.

Enjoy all our recent upgrades! Interior: New washer and dryer as of Dec 2020. New stove/oven installed 2021. New fireplace installed in 2022. Exterior: Firepit in 2021. Three stage deck 2021/2022. New seawall, sandy water edge as of 2022.

Check-in time is typically 4pm and check-out is at 11am.

- Walk or boat to Dockside in minutes for drinks, lunch or dinner right on Torch Lake.
- Enjoy drinks & food at the famous Shorts Brewery in less than a 10 minute drive.
- Check out Torch Lake Cellars, 6 minutes away, that offers wine/cider tastings & road runner tours (food/dinner, tasting rooms and U-pick orchards tours available- they will even pick you up!).
- Walking trails of the Grass River Natural Area are accessible by boat or car.
- Glacial Hills provides 31.5 miles of the Midwest's finest mountain biking, hiking and winter sports trail.
-Shanty Creek & Schuss Mountain is 15 minutes away where there is tons to do all year round - ski, snowmobile, snowshoe, tube, golf, foot golf, etc.
- Downtown Bellaire (9 minutes) - Short's Brewing Company (delicious food & drinks, live bands, events, etc.), Ruthann's Gourmet Bakery (coffee drinks, the best cupcakes & cookies, etc.), and shops!
- Downtown Alden (7-10 minutes) - Bluewater Bistro & Pizzeria (also delicious food & drinks), Alden Muffin Tin (excellent quiche, muffins, sandwiches, etc.)

Our cozy home is the perfect place for a winter getaway - snuggle in, enjoy the view, and venture out to nearby attractions that offer fun indoor & outdoor activities!
Our brand new high efficiency and easy to use fireplace creates the best cold season atmosphere!

Our winter activity suggestions:
- Glacial Hills (10 minutes) - Fat tire biking, groomed and ungroomed trails, etc.
- Shanty Creek & Schuss Mountain (15 minutes) - Alpine tubing, skiing, dogsled rides for children, snowshoeing, fat tire biking, snowmobiling
- Mt Mancelona - sledding, tours, backcountry trails

Summer rentals will be Sun-Sun, min of 7 nights. Few exceptions will be made for mid-week rentals only (no weekends), message for specific requests.

Short term rental agreement for reservation will be sent following acceptance.
