About this property
Rocking H Ranch:10 min to Bozeman Main St. /Hot tub/Gameroom/Sleeps 8 in 3 rooms
The Rocking H Ranch House sleeps up to eight in three bedrooms and features a hot tub, lots of privacy, and mountain views. There are actually four bedrooms and upon arrival, guests choose which three they will use. (see photos), The largest bedroom has bunk beds and a queen bed with a curtain divider. The Rocking H is an ideal home and space for a family or a romantic, quiet get-away. There is lots of space for people to spread out in three sitting areas. The yard is the size of two football fields with parking for six cars and even a large RV. Parking inside the two-car garage is also available.
It’s the perfect base camp. The Rocking H is 10 minutes from Bozeman’s Main Street and 15 minutes from the Bozeman’s international airport (BZN). The west entrance of Yellowstone National Park in West Yellowstone is a 1.5-hour drive through beautiful Gallatin Canyon. Big Sky Ski Resort is 48 minutes away, and Bridger Bowl Ski Area is a close 30-minute drive. Rafting/floating/fishing on the Madison River is 25 minutes away.
Bozeman Hot Springs, where you can soak in healing hot water, is 4 minutes away by car. The Rocking H is also a 4-minute drive from a public 3-par golf course and fishing on the famous Gallatin River. Guests are given a code to enter the home, and the code changes with each new guest.
The Rocking H is outfitted with everything you need to cook for a large group. In addition to a large dining table near the kitchen which can seat 10-12 if you have guests, there is kitchen table which seats 4, and a kitchen bar which seats 2. There are 12 place settings of western-style dishes plus plastic dishes for little tykes.
The lower level of the house is always cool in the summer, but there are four standing room air conditioners on the main level to cool it down on the occasional hot day. There are heaters in all rooms and a cozy gas fireplace you can run anytime for that fun fireplace feel.
The full lower level with large windows has a pool table, foosball, bar, and the gas fireplace mentioned above. Kids love the lower-level bunk room that sleeps four.
The Rocking H has four TVs. Each television has local channels, Roku systems with Sling for basic cable channels and sports, and Netflix and Amazon Prime for movies.
The original homeowner was a local college rodeo rider, a Montana State Senator, and one of the first landowners in the area when farmland was turned into building lots years ago. The house is still used for extended family gatherings. The grandkids won't allow remodeling, so guests should expect a cozy nostalgic feel in this clean, functional, spacious, and set-up-for-entertainment country get-away. This ranch-style home might feel like a trip back to the 70’s in Southwestern Montana. This home has not been remodeled since it was built, and it's holding up well as the images suggest. Complete with wood paneling and carpeted floors, the home is authentic, clean, and comfortable.
In addition to the large hot tub on the back deck, there are two tables, an umbrella, a sunbed, and a gas barbecue grill and deck fireplace. Watching the sunrise or the alpine glow on the mountains at sunset from the hot tub on the back deck is a pretty nice way to spend some time. Kids enjoy playing on the old horse wagon in the horse pasture out back, and it makes great family photos.
Up to two dogs are welcome. Guests will pay a pet fee. Sadly, cats are not allowed due to allergies.
The large driveway and porch and deck are plowed and shoveled by a service after any snowfall of 3 inches or more. There are shovels and rock salt for you to use for your own walking safety. Hot tub is professionally cleaned before each stay and additional cleansing chemicals are available. Please use hot tub and bunk beds carefully at your own risk.
This property operates legally as a short-term rental in the State of Montana. It is permitted by Gallatin County. The property has been inspected and approved for guests by the fire department and health department. The well water is tested annually. The septic system has been approved for up to eight people staying in three bedrooms. All cleaners are licensed and certified in standard health and safety standards. These licenses and this protocol are an investment in our guest’s safety.

About the host
Hosted by Bozeman Guesthouse

Hi, I'm Tessa, the property manager at Bozeman Guesthouse. Thank you for staying with us!
I've lived in Bozeman since 2010, and I've been hosting visitors since 2015. Before I was a full-time mom and property manager, I owned a boutique in Downtown Bozeman. My husband, Sten, is a Pennsylvania native and an Architect who graduated from MSU here in Bozeman.
Together with our two children, we adore Bozeman and love sharing it with our guests. We love hiking, biking, skiing, camping, riding motorcycles, traveling near and far, and meeting new people.
My goal, as your host, is to give you a seamless vacation. From inquiry to check-out, I'm here to answer your questions and help make your stay in Bozeman a memorable and comfortable one.
