Found at the foot of Roundway Hill with it's own secluded garden. Pet friendly.

We had an outstanding time at Hawthorne Lodge. The communication was wonderful and the place looks even better in real life than it does in the pictures. Chris stands out from every other stay we've been on as it is clearly an ongoing labour of love for him. He has clearly made a big effort to implement all the improvements he can think of and his effort is not unrewarded. It truly makes for an amazing stay. It's secluded and remote, with a lovely series of walks nearby, plenty of great nearby pubs in manor houses and about 10 supermarkets within 15-20 minutes. And of course.. Hot Tub!! Chris was so kind to leave us some treats on our arrival too, he truly thought of everything. We have already recommended it to many friends and are planning our next trip. Thanks again!

My wife, our 8 year old granddaughter, and I had a very enjoyable 3 day stay at Hawthorn Lodge in July 2017. My wife and I stayed there in October 2016 and had a great time, so we decided to take our granddaughter there this year. The lodge is quiet, comfortable, and well-equipped. Chris is a great host and really makes the lodge feel like home, from the fresh flowers to the 2 dog biscuits he put in a dog bowl for our dog. When our granddaughter saw the hot tub, she was ecstatic and wanted to go in right away. We used it two out of the three days we were there. She loved it. Chris has really thought of everything that a family needs to make their visit memorable. He also told us about the best pubs in the area. We tried them and the food and atmosphere was great. We will definitely be back to Hawthorn Lodge in the future.

This was a lovely cottage - clean, thoughtfully decorated, well equipped and very relaxing. The walk to the top of the hill was heavenly and our dogs loved it up there. An easy drive to towns for supplies or a meal, but sitting in the garden, enjoying the hot tub and watching our two little dogs romping in the wonderful private garden was more than enough heaven for us. Thank you for a wonderful stay - we will definitely visit again!

Everything that you would want and a first class host

Perfect for a peaceful reatreat from the world. Private space, well equipped, super clean. Great host who privided some little extras which were very welcome. Hot tub and outdoor shower always a bit hit. Would defintely recommended for those looking for some quiet, tranquil time. Thanks.
